很多人，尤其是年轻一代恐怕对塞西尔.比顿（Cecil Beaton）这个名字不太熟悉。但是，如果提到奥黛丽·赫本、玛丽莲·梦露、巴巴拉·史翠珊、可可·香奈尔、邱吉尔和伊丽莎白女皇，大概没有人会说不知道吧。如果你喜欢或崇拜前面那些人当中的任何一个，那么你就一定要记住Cecil Beaton，因为他就是记录了你的偶像最美丽，最动人时刻的那个人。

塞西尔.比顿（Cecil Beaton）（1904－1980），被公认为二十世纪最伟大的英国摄影家。

他的这个名字与世界最著名的时尚杂志Vogue 永远也分不开。无论是英国版的，还是法国版的，或是美国版的Vogue都与他有着长期密切的合作。他为它们拍下了许多经典珍贵的照片。这些照片无数次的以各种方式展示在观众面前，记得玛丽莲.梦露坦言，在她的众多照片中，最喜欢的是一幅名叫“永恒的康乃馨”的作品，照片中她手持一朵康乃馨，躺在画有浮世绘的床单上，对着镜头嫣然巧笑。而这幅名作正出自塞西尔.比顿（Cecil Beaton）之手。

其实塞西尔.比顿（Cecil Beaton ）之所以能在他的那么多优秀同行之中脱颖而出，被后人供奉在上个世纪最伟大的摄影师的地位上，仅仅凭借他在影视娱乐界做出的卓越成绩是不够的。还有一点重要的原因，那就是他在第二次世界大战时作为一名战地记者为人类的和平和进步做出了许多不可忽视的努力。他独自远赴中国，印度和埃及等国家，记录下了许多政治家，军事家，和战地作家在那个特殊时期与环境下的特殊印象。二战中的罪恶与黑暗是永远都不会被人们遗忘的，那么那些勇敢坚决地与这些罪恶在黑暗中战斗的英雄们更会被人们深深地牢记在心。

近期，为了向观众展示另一面的塞西尔.比顿（Cecil Beaton），9月6日开始，持续到年底的塞西尔.比顿（Cecil Beaton）摄影展《战区》将在英国伦敦帝国战争博物馆展出。这次我们先暂时抛开比顿的经典名人肖像摄影，去感受一下作为战地记者，他留给后人的那些珍贵影像。
